Uttar Pradesh: Salons open for men, but parlours shut

LUCKNOW: Raised shutters of salons brought smiles on faces of the many men who needed to urge obviate two-month-long hair and beard. However, parlours for ladies remained closed with owners saying that providing only hair cut service would be loss-making for them.
While many barbers followed precautions, in Narhi, Aliganj and Indiranagar, none was wearing face shield or gloves.
"My friends shaved their heads during lockdown but I didn't. it had been embarrassing to take a seat within the online office meeting with long hair. My boss commented that I could make a ponytail if the lockdown continues," said Paras Srivastava, who got a haircut in Munshipullia.
Owner of a salon chain in Indiranagar Anju Mishra said, "Salaries can't be incurred by just providing one facility. we should always tend permission for providing more services wearing face shields and gloves."
