Rishabh Pant's issue is that he has an excessive amount of talent to understand what to try to to with it: Brad Hogg
Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg has heaped rich praise on Rishabh Pant, calling the young Indian wicketkeeper an excellent entertainer. Hogg believes Pant can become one among the simplest within the business if he could do with a mental trainer.
Even though Pant scored Test hundreds on his maiden tours to Australia and England with the Indian cricket team, his batting since then has not lived up to the expectations nor of his team neither supporters.
Of late, Pant has found himself at the receiving end of criticism for his inconsistency within the field while playing for India. Hogg also added that Pant is extremely talented and he activates the TV when young Indian wicketkeeper involves the crease.
Hogg took to his official Twitter handle and posted why Rishabh is battling consistency issues.
"I turn my television when Rishabh Pant involves the crease, the entertainer. His issue is that he has an excessive amount of talent to understand what to try to to with it. He could do with a mind coach, tons of great sportsmen use them. it's beat the mind for him."
Rishabh Pant has been benched because the Indian think-tank opted for KL Rahul to don the large gloves within the second and third ODIs of the ODI series against Australia and therefore the limited overs series against New Zealand.
Earlier, former Australian stumper Brad Haddin had advised Rishabh Pant to "be himself" instead of copying somebody else . Haddin, on his part, thinks that the load of expectations from Pant's predecessor MS Dhoni is probably weighing hard on the 22-year-old but the simplest he can do is "to create his own identity".
