Landslide at the under-construction project site in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district, 1 killed

One person was killed and several people are feared dead after a landslide at Ratle Hydroelectric Project in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Saturday. The minister said a rescue team of about six people deployed at the spot was also trapped under the debris. Singh said that I am in constant touch with the district administration and all efforts are being made to rescue the people trapped under the debris. Rate Hydroelectric Project is a run-of-the-river project proposed on the Chenab River in the Kishtwar district in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The estimated cost of the project as on November 2018 is 5281.94 crores. The EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract for the project was awarded on September 18 this year. Red Cross team, police, and other rescue teams have reached the spot. The identity of the driver who died due to being buried under the passive is being told as Gujar Kothan, a resident of Manoj Kumar. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said, "Spoke to the Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar. Every effort is being made to rescue the trapped people. Help has been delivered. I am in constant touch with the district administration.
