Feb 1 hanging: Nirbhaya convicts tense, eating less, no last wish yet, say sources

The Nirbhaya rape and murder case convicts, who are scheduled to be executed on February 1, were asked about their last wishes because the date of their hanging nears. The death house convicts, however, haven't replied to the Tihar Jail authorities, sources told India Today TV.
The Tihar Jail authorities had issued summons to the four Nirbhaya rape and murder convicts once they were scheduled to be executed on January 22.
Since the convicts haven't replied to the summons, the jail authorities have allowed the families of the four to satisfy them twice every week .
The convicts have already been asked whether or not they wanted to bequeath their properties in someone's name but they need not replied thereto .
At least two guards are deployed outside the cells of the Nirbhaya convicts, the Tihar Jail authorities have told India Today TV. The guards add shifts.
As of now, the Tihar Jail has conducted three trials of dummy execution. All four convicts are eating less and also are reportedly tense. they're made to undergo checkup daily. Their medical reports are normal.
The psychological state of the Nirbhaya rape and murder convicts is additionally normal, the sources said. No fresh curative or mercy petition has been filed by the other death house convicts.
