Bengali actress Sonali Chakraborty dies at the age of 59

Kolkata. Bengali actress Sonali Chakraborty died on Monday at a private hospital in Kolkata after a prolonged illness. She was 59 years old and is survived by her husband actor Shankar Chakraborty and daughter. Chakraborty, a well-known Bengali television actress, was battling a liver ailment. He was undergoing treatment in the hospital for months.

He acted in films like Dadar Kirti (1980), Haar Jeet (2002), and Bandhan (2004). He was last seen in the serial Gachora. Condoling his death, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
