Talking to reporters at the Patna airport, Chirag also said that he would campaign for saffron party candidates in Mokama and Gopalganj, where the BJP is facing a tough fight with the RJD. Terming Chirag Paswan as an NDA ally, Bihar state BJP president Sanjay Jaiswal on Friday said he would campaign for his party's candidates in the by-elections being held in Mokama and Gopalganj assembly constituencies.

He had told Paswan, the Lok Sabha member from Jamui, that he would participate in the election campaign in Mokama on October 31 and Gopalganj on November 1. The November 3 bypoll is being seen as the first test of strength for the BJP, which has been weakened after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's exit from the NDA two months ago, and the RJD, the largest party in the ruling grand alliance in the state.
